Second Firing May 2025

Our second firing was much more relaxed. We had 12 participants, so many worked two or more shifts. This time we had all the wood split properly ahead of time so we weren’t scrambling to split while firing. We did hit a snag with the spark arrestor screen getting clogged with soot and damping down the whole kiln. Once that was fixed it came back to life and we had another great firing. We also learned a bit more about how to better schedule people.
